The Odyssey PC545MJ battery combines in one box the characteristics of two separate batteries. It can deep cycle (be recharged) as well as provide enormous cranking power.

Over 20 years ago on my ride out to Sturgis South Dakota I met up with three motor patrol officers in Rapid City South Dakota. Their bikes were parked with flashers on and radios operating. We ate lunch together and I asked about their battery life related to the amount of drain that they continually put on their bikes. One of the guys did all the maintenance for their motors. He said immediately upon receiving a new motorcycle he changes the battery out to an Odyssey battery. He said they get at least six years of service life out of their batteries. He then mentioned I should get at least 8 to 10 years of service life if the battery is properly maintained. I have four Harley Davidson motorcycles and have used (PC545MJ)Odyssey batteries for the past 20 years. I continually get 10 to 12 years of service life. I do remove my batteries and place them on a battery tender(CTEK) at least every three months while in storage. Odyssey recommended CTEC battery charger. Their recommendation was to fully charge the battery upon storage and then place it in a freezer. I felt that was counterintuitive to everything I had ever learned about batteries. But the tech was right I get no less than 10 years of service out of these batteries. And, I do not place my batteries in the freezer. I also bought an odyssey battery for my plow truck I just checked the date on the battery and it was placed in there in 2012. That's 10 years. I only purchase odyssey batteries but I do follow maintenance procedures.
I put the odyssey battery in all my bikes and I have never had a bad experience. These batteries have lasted longer than any other battery I've had, even without plugging in the trickle charger these batteries hold a charge through the cold weather.
I only run these batteries in all my toys. ATVs, Motorcycle, etc. I have not had one fail yet. I just sold my older motorcycle and it had an Odyssey in it for the last 5 years and never failed. Just installed a new one in my new motorcycle. No need to worry about a failure riding across country.

I purchased the battery online for my custom 2012 Fatboy - Lo which had been sitting in my garage for over a year because I forgot to put the trickle charger on it. The battery was shipped and arrived within a couple of days and it was fully charged. I'm extremely satisfied with the product and with the entire Battery Mart experience.

I purchased this battery oct 29, 2014 and on 0ct,20th 2015 battery died. I recharged it and two days later drained again. Didnt even last one year.
I use this battery on my 2006 Goldwing. Love the power of the unit and the long life. Six years of not a minutes trouble.
