I just replaced an Odyssey PC 545 (July 2025) that I installed in my Kawasaki KLR 650 back in 2008. It finally gave up after 55000 miles and 17 years of extreme temperatures and lots of vibration. I highly recommend Odyssey Batteries.

Installed this in Nov of 2001, now at 13 1/2 years and it might finally be time to replace it. I’ve had it in an 09 RZR 800 and always on a tender when not being used. The CCA, AH, and reserve mins are all less than the larger stock battery it replaced and it’s still held up. I used this one because it’s only 12lbs vs the 30ish of the stock lead acid battery. Currently on a charger in repair mode just to see, but it’s probably time!
It finally died. Had this battery in my dragbike for several years then moved it to my ultralight plane. Always kept it on a charger when not in use. It lasted a total of 10 years. Ordering a new one. Great product!!
I built a VW powered experimental airplane and I selected this battery for it. I have more than sufficient torque to turn over the engine and then provide power to my EFIS and EMS screens. It is helped by a 20A alternator and provides a nice steady 12.4VDC for all of my electrical needs.
