Product Description
Tired of Babying Your Battery Every Season?
If you've come back to your garage after a few months off to find a dead battery staring back at you, you're not alone. Lead-acid batteries are heavy, needy, and rarely last more than a couple of seasons. The EarthX ETX36C lithium iron phosphate powersport battery changes the equation entirely.
Built and engineered in the USA, the ETX36C is a LiFePO4 drop-in replacement that delivers 320 cold cranking amps (CCA) and 680 peak cranking amps (PCA) at just 3.9 lbs. That's roughly half the weight of a typical OEM battery — more cranking power, less dead weight.
The Built-In Brain That Protects Your Investment
What truly separates the ETX36C from cheaper lithium alternatives is its exclusive, fully integrated Battery Management System (BMS). Most competing batteries leave this out entirely, or charge you extra. EarthX builds it right in, actively protecting against the four things that kill powersport batteries fastest:
- Over-discharge (the #1 cause of premature battery failure)
- Over-charge
- Excessive cranking heat
- Cell imbalance
Because the BMS balances cell charge continuously, you'll never need a special balancing charger. Just pair it with any lithium-compatible charger that has a maintenance voltage between 13.3V and 13.9V, and you're set.
Built to Outlast Every Lead-Acid Battery You've Ever Owned
A typical lead-acid battery manages around 350 charge cycles. The ETX36C is rated for 4,000. Real-world customers have reported eight or more years from a single battery — a track record that simply doesn't exist in the lead-acid world.
It's also torture-tested from -22°F to 140°F, so whether you're firing up on a cold February morning or pushing through summer heat, this battery won't leave you stranded.
A Note for Harley-Davidson and High-Draw Riders
Riding a bike with a continuous parasitic draw, like a security system or clock? That's common on Harley-Davidson models, and it means you'll want a lithium-compatible maintainer plugged in during long storage. The BMS will protect the battery from a sudden over-discharge event, but a slow, continuous drain over months will eventually deplete any battery. A good maintainer is cheap insurance.
Ready to Install Right Out of the Box
Your ETX36C arrives with terminal adapters, 6mm screws, and foam spacers for proper fitment — everything you need for most installations. Some front-mount connections may require an additional EarthX Terminal Adapter Kit (included), so confirm your fitment before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the EarthX ETX36C compatible with my motorcycle or powersport vehicle?
A: The ETX36C fits a wide range of motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and other powersport vehicles that use the C-case battery size (5.91" L x 3.39" W x 4.53" H). It cross-references to dozens of OEM part numbers from Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, and others. Check the full cross-reference list on this page to confirm your specific make and model before ordering.
Can I use my existing battery charger with the ETX36C?
A: The ETX36C works with most modern chargers as long as the maintenance (float) voltage falls between 13.3V and 13.9V. The Battery Tender Jr., for example, sits comfortably within that range. Older Battery Tender models that float at 13.2V fall just below the minimum and are not recommended. When in doubt, choose a charger specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries to stay well within safe operating range.
What's the difference between the ETX36C and the ETX36D?
A: Electrically, they're identical: both deliver 320 CCA, 680 PCA, and 12.4 Ah capacity, with the same 2-year warranty and the same price. The difference is physical size. The ETX36D has a larger footprint, while the ETX36C is the more compact option. If you need to fit maximum cranking power into a tighter battery compartment, the ETX36C is the right call.
What do I need to do to store this battery over the winter?
A: Under normal conditions, the ETX36C holds its charge for six months or more without any attention needed. If your bike has a continuous parasitic draw — a security system, clock, or similar — that slow drain will eventually pull the battery down during long storage. In those cases, connecting a lithium-compatible maintainer over winter keeps the battery healthy and ready to go when riding season returns.

Customer Reviews
Excellent product. This replaced the identical model EarthX battery that was part of the modification made to my 1976 BMW R90/6 in 2017. Original was a great performer with strong starts on first crank, even in freezing weather, until the very last month when cranking was a bit hesitant. New battery swapped in seconds, and now I'm back to strong cranking and reliable starts.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another ... but probably not until 2034!
Outstanding!
This battery has transformed my Buell. It used to be a slow starter, no matter which battery I used (OEM or aftermarket) and those batteries usually die in about a year.
The Lithium batteries smaller size allowed me to move to a battery with more cold cranking amps. Now it fires up with no hesitation. I just bought this battery a few weeks ago, so I have no idea of longevity yet, but I have high hopes that it will last longer than a year given that one of the selling points of lithium batteries is a longer life.
Fantastic Battery!
Twice the CCA's at less than 1/3 the weight.
