Product Description
A Faster Way to Keep Your Battery Charged
Tired of your car, truck, or boat battery dying between drives? The NOCO GENIUS2 charges 6V and 12V batteries at 2 amps, faster than smaller trickle chargers, while still keeping things completely automatic and safe.
Mount it in your garage or trunk with the included bracket, plug in the full-length AC cord, and let the GENIUS2 do the rest. It reads your battery's charge level and switches to gentle maintenance mode once it's full.

Charging Modes
| Mode | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Standby | In Standby mode, the charger is not charging or providing any power to the battery. Energy Save is activated during this mode, drawing microscopic power from the electrical outlet. Canbus is enabled in Standby mode. When in Standby, the orange Standby LED will illuminate. No Power |
| 12V | For charging 12-volt Wet Cell, Gel Cell, Enhanced Flooded, Maintenance-Free and Calcium batteries. When selected, the 12V white LED will illuminate. 14.5V | 2A | Up to 40Ah Batteries |
| 12V AGM | For charging 12-volt AGM batteries. When selected, the 12V AGM white LED will illuminate. 14.8V | 2A | Up to 40Ah Batteries |
| 12V Lithium | For charging 12-volt lithium-ion batteries, including lithium iron phosphate. When selected, the 12V Lithium blue LED will illuminate. For use on batteries with Battery Management Systems (BMS) only 14.6V | 2A | Up to 40Ah Batteries |
| 6V, Press & Hold (3 seconds) | For charging 6-volt Wet Cell, Gel Cell, Enhanced Flooded, Maintenance-Free and Calcium batteries. When selected, the 6V white LED will illuminate. 7.25V | 2A | Up to 40 Ah Batteries |
| Force Mode, Press & Hold (5 seconds) | For charging batteries with a voltage lower than 1V. Press and Hold for five (5) seconds to enter Force Mode. The selected charge mode will then operate under Force Mode for five (5) minutes before returning to standard charging in the selected mode. 2A | Up to 40Ah Batteries |
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the LED lights on the GENIUS2 mean?
A: Pulsing red lights show charge progress in stages (25%, 50%, 75%), a pulsing green light means the main charge is done and the battery is being optimized, and a solid green light means it's fully charged. If you see an error light, it usually points to reverse polarity, a bad battery, or voltage that's too high for the selected mode.
What size batteries can the GENIUS2 handle?
A: The GENIUS2 charges batteries up to 40 amp-hours at full speed and can maintain larger batteries too, though bigger batteries will take longer to reach a full charge. For batteries above 40Ah, we'd recommend stepping up to the NOCO GENIUS5.
Can I leave the GENIUS2 connected to my battery long-term?
A: Yes. It's designed to stay connected 24/7, automatically switching to maintenance mode once your battery is full so it's ready whenever you need it.
What's the difference between the GENIUS1 and GENIUS2?
A: The GENIUS2 charges twice as fast (2 amps vs. 1 amp) and handles larger batteries, up to 40Ah compared to 30Ah on the GENIUS1. It also comes with a mounting bracket and a longer AC cord for easier permanent installation.
Does the GENIUS2 come with mounting hardware?
A: Yes, it includes a mounting bracket and self-tapping screws so you can install it permanently in a garage, boat, or engine bay.

I've been using my NOCO charger for a few weeks now.
It works great, does Lithium batteries and more.
The connection is different from most trickle chargers, so be aware.
