Product Description
Tired of Getting Stranded by a Dead Battery?
If you've had a lead-acid battery die after one or two seasons — or come back to a bike that wouldn't turn over after sitting all winter — you're not alone. The EarthX ETX24C LiFePO4 powersports battery is engineered to fix those exact problems. At just 2.6 lbs., it's up to 80% lighter than a comparable lead-acid battery, and it holds a charge for six months or more without a trickle charger attached.
For bikes that carry battery weight up high — like the BMW GS adventure series — that weight savings translates into something you can feel in the handling. Riders consistently notice the difference.
What Makes EarthX Different
Most lithium powersports batteries have a quiet weakness: a single deep discharge can kill them, and competing brands typically void the warranty when that happens. EarthX solves this with a fully integrated Battery Management System (BMS) built directly into the ETX24C. It automatically handles:
- Over-discharge protection (the #1 killer of all lithium batteries)
- Over-charge protection
- Short circuit protection
- Excessive cranking heat protection
- Built-in cell balancing (no special balancing charger required)
Because cell balancing is managed internally, your standard lead-acid-compatible charger works just fine. No new equipment needed.
Built to Last, Backed by a Real Warranty
A typical lead-acid battery is rated for around 350 charge cycles. The ETX24C is rated for up to 4,000 — giving you up to 8 years of reliable service from a single battery. That's fewer replacements, fewer unexpected failures, and fewer mornings when your ride won't cooperate.
The 2-year warranty is full coverage from day one, not a prorated offer that pays a fraction of the replacement cost. EarthX stands behind this battery for the full warranty period.
Ready to Ride, Right Out of the Box
The ETX24C ships with terminal adapters, mounting foam, and hardware for a clean, secure installation. It directly replaces YTX14H-BS, YTX20CH, GYZ16H, and YTZ14S-BS batteries across a wide range of motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. Designed and assembled in the USA, it's been tested across a temperature range of -22°F to 140°F.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the ETX24C work with my existing battery charger?
A: Yes, in most cases. The ETX24C's built-in BMS handles all cell balancing internally, so it's compatible with modern lead-acid-style chargers. No special lithium charger or balancing equipment is required. One thing to watch for: avoid chargers with a desulfation or "recovery" mode, as that mode can interfere with lithium cells. When in doubt, check your charger's documentation or contact EarthX directly.
Which batteries does the ETX24C replace?
A: The ETX24C directly replaces YTX14H-BS, YTX20CH, GYZ16H, and YTZ14S-BS batteries. It fits a wide range of motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. See the full cross-reference list on this page, or use EarthX's vehicle selector at earthxbatteries.com to confirm fitment for your specific make and model. Terminal adapters for C/D/E-case connections are included in the box.
Can the ETX24C sit all winter without being plugged in?
A: For most applications, yes. The ETX24C has a very low self-discharge rate and can hold a charge through six months or more of storage. That said, if your vehicle has a continuous electrical draw — common in some Harley-Davidson models — EarthX recommends connecting a compatible lithium maintainer during long storage periods to prevent the battery from draining below its protection threshold.
Can the ETX24C be mounted in any position?
A: Yes. Because it's a sealed LiFePO4 chemistry with no liquid electrolyte, the ETX24C can be installed upright, on its side, or inverted without any risk of leaking or spilling. This makes it a flexible option for custom builds and bikes with non-standard battery compartments.

Customer Reviews
I bought one for my VRod and love how that bike starts after sitting for months with no charger attached. I knew this would be a great battery for my KTM 1090R.
After many early morning no start and replacing batt with top of line agm batt to no avail. my KTM Adventure motorcycle starts strong at any temperature I strongly recommend this batt to any KTM Adventure owner
I replaced the stock battery in a BMW F800GS with this, and the weight savings alone are impressive. The battery sits high and forward in this bike, so the lithium upgrade makes a noticeable difference. The case is the same size and just a bit shorter, so it fit well with only a few provided spacers underneath. EarthX recommends the ETX18F for this bike, but say the 24C or 36C work fine if you want to run any accessories/heaters, etc. The F case is much smaller, so I think the 24C is the perfect match for power, price, and fit. Add in EarthX's programming makes for worry free lithium management, and Battery Mart's free shipping helps as well! This is a terrific, US made battery well worth the little extra you spend!
