They are fantastic for smoke alarms, so good that several states require that battery operated smoke alarms use lithium batteries.
And they last several years.
These were purchased for my CO detectors, I will not really know how they hold up for a period of time. They seemed like a great battery for any 9 Volt piece of equipment.
Haven't used just yet but hoping they will last longer the a standard alkaline for backup batteries on 110 volt smoke alarms.
They look well made, we will see.
We use these in Co2 & smoke detectors, no need to change batteries every 6 months. They should all come with these batteries and not regular ones.
I replaced my smoke detector batteries with these and found no variation of the initial voltage. I have had problems with other batteries in the past (I have 8 smoke/CO2 detectors) with tripping of the units indicating the batteries were bad. Not the case with these, everything worked the first time.
When it comes to smoke detectors, I want the best possible batteries to ensure operation in time of necessity. These lithium batteries give me peace of mind.
