The TOPDON RLink Lite is the most capable tool in the RLink family — a full-featured OEM diagnostic and programming device that covers more brands, more protocols, and more situations than any other pass-thru in the lineup. With a built-in 5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a rechargeable battery, it's as comfortable working standalone in the bay as it is connected to a laptop.
The Broadest Brand Coverage in the RLink Lineup
The RLink Lite supports all 16 major OEM software platforms, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche (PIWIS-3), Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Subaru, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover. Whether your shop handles domestic trucks in the morning and European imports in the afternoon, the RLink Lite keeps up without requiring a shelf full of brand-specific devices.

How is the RLink Lite different from the RLink X3 and RLink X7?
The RLink Lite is the most fully equipped tool in the RLink lineup. The X3 is purpose-built for GM, Ford, and Chrysler. The X7 expands that to 18 brands as a compact dongle. The RLink Lite goes furthest — covering all 16 OEM platforms (including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Porsche, which the X7 does not support), adding a built-in touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, a rechargeable battery, and support for a third diagnostic standard (RP1210). If your shop works across a broad mix of domestic and import vehicles and you want the most versatile single device, the Lite is the right choice.
Does the RLink Lite need to be connected to a laptop to work?
Not necessarily. The built-in 5-inch Android touchscreen lets you manage drivers, access OEM operation guides, and work through diagnostic procedures directly on the device. That said, full OEM diagnostic software still runs on a connected computer — the touchscreen adds flexibility and on-device guidance, but it doesn't replace the laptop for software execution.
What connectivity options does the RLink Lite support?
The RLink Lite offers three ways to connect to your laptop or network: a wired USB connection, built-in 802.11 Wi-Fi, and a physical RJ45 Ethernet port. The Ethernet port is particularly useful for DoIP diagnostics, which are required by some newer vehicles for high-speed programming tasks.
