Frequently Asked Questions
What does the “M” stand for in the Odyssey ODX-AGM31M battery?
A: The “M” identifies this as the marine version of Odyssey’s Group 31 battery. Unlike the standard ODX-AGM31, the ODX-AGM31M includes both traditional brass SAE posts and threaded stainless steel stud terminals. This combination makes it easier to connect the engine cables and separate marine accessories, such as trolling motors, navigation equipment, lights, or onboard electronics.
Does the Odyssey 31M-PC2150ST arrive ready to install?
A: This battery is shipped fully charged and is generally ready for installation. Before installing the battery, check the voltage with a battery tester. A reading of at least 12.65 volts indicates that it is ready to use; if it measures below that, it should be fully charged with a compatible battery charger first.
What is the Odyssey ODX-AGM31M battery used for?
A: This battery is designed for demanding marine, RV, commercial, and heavy-duty applications that need both strong starting power and reliable deep-cycle performance. It can be used to start large engines while also powering onboard electronics, trolling motors, pumps, lighting, navigation equipment, and other accessories.
What type of battery charger should I use with the Odyssey ODX-AGM31M?
A: Use a quality 12-volt charger that is compatible with AGM batteries. A small maintainer may help offset storage-related drain, but a higher-output charger will be better suited for restoring a deeply discharged 103Ah battery.
What should I do with my old marine battery?
A: If you are replacing a current battery, the old battery should be taken to a battery retailer, recycling center, automotive parts store, or another authorized lead-acid battery collection location. Lead-acid batteries should never be placed in household trash. If you bought the old battery from us, we can likely take it back and take care of it for you.

Customer Reviews
We know the battery well as have used it in many vessels we've either designed or built.
The purchase was easy, for a great price, and delivery to the shipyard was timely.
Thank You
Put this in my boat for starting, has 1150 cca and spins the 200 hp everytime...we will see how long this lasts but has a 4 year warranty so that helps with peace of mind. .... stay away from interstate , they are crap anymore imo and the company doesn't stand behind there product...
I ordered two AGM Odyssey Batteries for our Airstream Travel Trailer (Online) on Monday Morning about 8:30 am. A Sales Rep called about 11:00 am to verify the ship to address, and told me I should receive them the next day. By 3:00 pm the following day I was installing them. It just doesn't get any better then that.
I had initially tried to order the batteries from Auto Zone, and authorized dealer, but they didn't have any in their warehouse. I told them I would get them from Battery Mart, and they said, if you do bring the cores in here, and we'll give you $20.00 store credit.
This was a Win Win situation. I really did try to support our local guy first. Next time I need a battery, I'll shop at Battery Mart!
I previously had the Sears version of this product in my boat. It died after 4 years (3 year full warranty). When I went to replace it, Sears had stopped carrying it and so I went direct to the manufacturer.
It starts my boat, charges, just what it should do. It is like $360 delivered versus the Sears branded version at $289. I only gave it one star for the huge markup rather than a product or battery mart issue.

Best starting battery I've ever owned. Starts my 250 Pro XS Merc effortlessly and powers all my accessories with no worries for all day tournaments.
