I buy a lot of batteries and have concluded that your best chance of a battery lasting 5 years has a lot to do with where its made.. I espically avoid any batteries that are made in China. Too early to tell if this battery will last but at least my chances are good. My last battery was made by Motobatt but only lasted 2 years.
I searched for this particular manufacturer and part number as my previous Motocross YTX14AHL-BS had lasted 14, yes fourteen, years. Not only that, but it was used in two motorcycles, a lawn tractor, and as a test battery for circuits. Battery Mart came up as a retail seller and I placed the order on a Thursday afternoon. To my surprise and delight, the battery arrived two days later, on a Saturday, via FedEx, charged and ready to go. Yes, the total cost may reflect the quick delivery, but if this battery lasts half as long as the first one, it will still have outlasted any other motorcycle battery I have ever purchased! The battery was packed very good and shipped on time. It woks great and being made in the USA makes it better. Have not had much luck with foreign batteries.
I bought this battery to replace a four year old battery in my Ranger. I was able to buy an American made battery at Battery Mart shipped to my door cheaper than driving somewhere to buy a chinese made battery.
Fired up my 750 Honda with the new battery today. No problem after sitting for 28 years the new battery turned the motor right over.
