Can the GenBox 100 charge a laptop?

A: Yes. It offers two paths for laptop charging. USB-C laptops (MacBook Air, most Chromebooks, Surface Go, and similar ultrabooks) can charge directly through the USB-C PD ports. Any laptop that uses a standard wall charger can be plugged into the 100W AC outlet. It's not well-suited for gaming laptops or high-performance workstations that require more than 100W — for those, the GenBox 800 or a larger model would be a better fit.

Is the AC outlet pure sine wave?

A: The GenBox 100 uses a modified sine wave AC output. This works fine for the vast majority of devices: laptop chargers, phone chargers, LED lights, fans, small appliances, and USB power adapters. It's not recommended for high-end audio equipment (which may produce a faint hum) or certain sensitive medical devices. If you need pure sine wave output, the GenBox 800 and larger models provide it.

Can I take it on an airplane?

A: Yes. The GenBox 100's battery capacity falls under the FAA's 100Wh carry-on limit, so it's permitted in carry-on luggage on domestic flights. It cannot go in checked baggage. For international travel, check with your airline ahead of time, as policies can vary.

How long will it hold a charge in storage?
