Frequently Asked Questions
Will the cranking battery start my engine?
A: Yes. The 12V 150Ah battery in this bundle is specifically designed as a "dual-purpose" battery. It has the high-output power needed to start most 200-250hp 4-stroke outboard motors while still having the deep-cycle capacity to run your electronics all day.
Is it difficult to switch from lead-acid to this 24V lithium marine battery bundle?
A: Not at all. These batteries are designed in standard sizes (Group 31) to fit in your existing battery trays. Since the bundle includes the correct lithium charger, it’s a straightforward "drop-in" replacement.
How much weight will I actually save?
A: A typical 3-battery lead-acid setup can weigh upwards of 200 lbs. This entire Ionic bundle (including the charger) weighs about 92 lbs. You are effectively removing a small adult from the back of your boat, which significantly improves performance and draft.
Can I add more batteries to the 24V boat battery bundle later?
A: Absolutely. If you find you need even more range for professional tournament use, these batteries can be connected in parallel to increase your total capacity.
Can I use the Ionic 24V marine battery bundle in cold weather?
A: Yes, you can use Ionic lithium batteries in cold weather. However, if the battery itself is frozen, you will need to first move it to a warmer environment and let it warm up before attempting a charge cycle.
How should I store my Ionic lithium marine batteries in the off season?
A: First, disconnect the batteries completely from any motors, fish finders, or chargers. Ensure the batteries have a state of charge of about 50% to 80%. Store them in a cool, dry environment until it’s time to get back out on the water.

Customer Reviews
I’ve only had my batteries and charger for about a month now. So far it’s been an excellent investment. The ordering process was very easy, shipment came on time and in good condition. Install was quick and easy. I love the app that gives me instant status updates. I never worry if my trolling motor is running out of power and as a charter fishing captain that peace of mind is invaluable. Same for the cranking battery. The reduced weight compared to lead acid has actually lead to a noticeable change in the way the boat (bass) handles and gets on plane. I’m satisfied with my purchase.
