State of the art safety features.
Ionic 12V 100Ah lithium batteries feature a Battery Management System (commonly referred to as BMS). A BMS system ensure that the battery stays safe at all times by monitoring the battery during charging and discharging. It keeps an eye on the voltage, current, and temperature during operation. For example, the BMS will prvent the battery from accepting a charge if the battery's temperature is below freezing.
More power, less weight.
With lithium, you can enjoy a capacity rating of 99%. Lead acid batteries only average between 50-60%. This means LiFePO4 batteries can maintain its power over the full discharge cycle, instead of tapering off as the battery depletes.
That's a lot power compacted inside a 28 pound battery. For comparison, a lead acid battery with 100 amp hour of capacity can weight up to 60 pounds. With a 1-3% montly discharge rate, it will outlast that heavy AGM battery, too (which discharges at around 30% per month).
Real-time monitoring with the app.
Ionic batteries provide less stress with battery tech. With the Ionic Blue Batteries app, your phone will have all the important information about your battery's performance. You can see important specs like the battery's voltage, current, power, temperature, and charging status.
Other important things to note:
- The maximum charge current for our 12V 100Ah lithium battery is 14.6V, with the maximum discharge voltage being 10.5V.
- The max charge current is 100A and the max discharge is 100A/500A(3s).
- Our 12V 100Ah battery works with solar chargers!
- Can be charged with most traditional lead-acid chargers. (Chargers that don’t have "Desulfate" mode. And provided the current levels do not exceed lithium battery charge specification.)
- You can charge your 12V 100Ah lithium battery with a standard lead-acid charger that achieves 14.4-14.6 volts.
- Chargers with a voltage of fewer than 13.6 volts will only charge at 50% capacity or less.
