Product Description
Keep the Adventure Going with the Official Replacement Battery
When your child's ride-on runs out of steam, this Power Wheels battery gets them back on the road. Part number 74777 is the official OEM 12-volt, 12 amp-hour gray battery from Mattel, the same battery that ships inside Power Wheels Advanced Series vehicles. That means a guaranteed fit, guaranteed performance, and no guessing about compatibility.
Compatible with a Wide Range of Power Wheels Vehicles
This battery fits any Power Wheels Advanced Series vehicle that uses a 12-volt, 12 amp-hour gray battery system. That covers a large portion of the Power Wheels lineup, including popular models like the Jeep Wrangler, Dune Racer, Ford F-150, Barbie Jeep, Barbie Escalade, Arctic Cat, and many more. If your vehicle's existing Power Wheels battery is the solid gray cube style, this is the correct replacement.
Important: This all-gray battery is not interchangeable with the gray-and-orange-top Power Wheels battery (part numbers 00801-1776 or 00801-1661). If your vehicle came with an orange-top battery, you'll need our orange-top Power Wheels battery instead. Not sure which you have? Our team can help.
Simple Installation, Long-Lasting Performance
This battery is maintenance-free and requires no special tools to install. Before first use, charge it for at least 18 hours (but no more than 30 hours) to ensure maximum capacity from the start. After that, a standard recharge of 14 to 30 hours keeps it topped up and ready to go.
To extend the battery's life, avoid running it completely flat before recharging, store it fully charged, and charge it at least once per month during periods when the vehicle isn't in use. With proper care, a Power Wheels battery typically lasts one to three years depending on usage and storage habits.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the gray battery and the orange-top battery?
A: Power Wheels makes two different 12-volt batteries: an all-gray version (this one) and a gray-and-orange-top version. Both are 12V and 12Ah, but they are not interchangeable. The orange-top battery uses a 40-amp internal breaker, while the all-gray battery uses a 30-amp breaker. Some vehicles are designed to draw more power and require the higher-rated orange-top version. If your current battery has an orange top, you'll need to replace it with that specific version. When in doubt, match the color of the battery that came with your vehicle.
Does this battery work with Hot Wheels cars?
A: No, this battery is for Power Wheels ride-on vehicles, not Hot Wheels die-cast toy cars. Hot Wheels and Power Wheels are two separate product lines. Hot Wheels are the small collectible cars and don't use a rechargeable battery like this. Power Wheels are the larger, ride-on electric vehicles designed for kids to sit in and drive.
However, there are battery-powered accessories for Hot Wheels, such as their motorized tracks. Those typically only require alkaline batteries.
How long does a Power Wheels battery last?
A: With proper care, a Power Wheels battery typically lasts one to three years. Key habits that extend battery life include charging it fully before storage, recharging it at least once a month when not in use, avoiding letting it drain completely before recharging, and unplugging the battery from the vehicle during long-term storage. Batteries that are stored dead or left plugged in to the vehicle without use tend to fail prematurely.
Is a charger included with the 12V Power Wheels battery?
A: No, this listing is for the battery only. You should use the 12-volt charger that came with your Power Wheels vehicle. If you need a replacement charger, we carry compatible Power Wheels chargers separately.
Can I buy a spare battery to swap while the other charges?
A: Absolutely, this is a great idea, and exactly how many Power Wheels families extend their child's ride time. Simply swap in the fresh battery while the other charges, and there's no waiting around. Just make sure to charge both batteries regularly, even if one sits unused for extended periods.

Customer Reviews
I love that the batteries are genuine Fisher Price batteries and not generic. The batteries work great and I have always received them in a timely manner.
Battery was exactly what we needed for my granddaughter's Power Wheels Jeep. Keeps a full charge and provides hours of driving fun for her.
Great company to deal with they answered all my questions before purchasing, back there products personally you do not need to deal with manufacturer. Received battery in a couple days after ordering, very well packaged, excellent communication. Outstanding experience so refreshing from all the big box businesses that were forced to deal with nowadays that mostly do not know there products or for the most part don't care.
Great battery. I called the company to make sure I was ordering the correct battery for my sons quad. They were very helpful and offered tips for keeping the battery at its best once it arrived. The Powerwheels quad has been used numerous times in the past few weeks and they battery has test to run out while they play. They have averaged 30-45 minutes of play and it’s still running when they are done.
My Grandson Had A wonderful Time Riding His Ford F150. He Ran It For Hours.
Great grandson needed a battery for his Fisher-Price four wheeler. Battery Mart shipped and I couldn't be happier. Great grandson approves too.
So glad I was able to get the battery and charger, works great and happy with the order and delivery process.
