Product Description
Designed for in-cabin installations!
EarthX is proud to be one of the most trusted brands in the experimental aircraft market.
EarthX's ETX900-VNT lithium battery is based on their ETX900 design; the same cranking power, capacity, and electronic protections (BMS). What sets it apart is the built-in thermal runaway containment and venting for in-cabin installation. The venting tube is 6 ft long, 1/4" inside diameter, and 5/16" outside diameter. The battery is light-weight and can be used in aircraft with an alternator/generator output of 80 amps or less and smaller than 550ci. The ETX900-VNT meets all of the DO-311a lithium battery use in aircraft testing requirements. This is not a TSO or PMA part number.
This battery features an LED battery fault light indicator on the battery itself, which can be programmed into your EFIS or wired to your aircraft control panel with a simple 12V LED light (sold separately) that alerts you to the state of charge and state of health of the battery. (see manual for details)
The battery management system (BMS) keeps all cells charged equally and protects them from:
- Over discharge
- Over charge
- Short circuit
- Heat
