- Two Independent 6-Amp Banks: Charges two 12V batteries simultaneously — each on its own dedicated circuit — for 12 amps of total output with no interference between banks.
- Supports 12V and 24V Systems: Ideal for a starting battery plus a trolling motor battery, or a 24V trolling motor setup using two 12V batteries in series.
- Compatible with Flooded, AGM, and Most Lithium Batteries: No manual switching required — the charger adapts automatically, with low 2-volt detection to recover deeply discharged batteries.*
- *Always verify lithium battery compatibility with PRO Charging Systems (PCS) before use.
- Fully Waterproof for Fresh and Salt Water: Rugged, vibration-resistant housing with integrated mounting flanges for clean, permanent installation on board.
- Automatic Multi-Stage Charging with Float Maintenance: Charges each bank fully, then holds both batteries at peak charge long-term — protecting battery health between trips and during storage.
- Marine-Grade Safety Certifications: Meets ISO 8846 Marine standards and US Coast Guard ignition protection requirements (33 CFR 183.410), with reverse polarity protection included.
Product Description
Most boats leave the dock with at least two batteries on board — one for starting the engine, one for running the trolling motor. Keeping both fully charged, reliably and automatically, is exactly what the Dual Pro RS2 RealPRO Series is designed to do.
With two fully independent 6-amp banks delivering 12 amps of total output, the RS2 charges each battery on its own dedicated circuit. That means it doesn't matter if one battery is newer, older, smaller, or in a different state of charge than the other — each one gets precisely what it needs, without either one affecting the other.
Built for the Most Common Two-Battery Setups
The RS2 handles two 12V outputs, which gives it two natural use cases that cover a huge range of recreational boating scenarios:
- A 12V starting battery and a separate 12V trolling motor battery, charged independently and simultaneously
- A 24V trolling motor system, where two 12V batteries are wired in series — the RS2 charges each one individually and maintains them at equal levels
If your setup involves three batteries or a 36V system, the RS3 is the natural next step in the RealPRO line. For a single battery, the RS1 has you covered.
Compatible with Flooded, AGM, and Most Lithium Batteries
The RS2 works with wet cell (flooded), AGM, and most lithium batteries — no manual switching between battery types required. A multi-stage charging process brings each bank up to full charge efficiently, then shifts into float maintenance mode automatically. This keeps both batteries topped off for the long haul without any risk of overcharging.
Low 2-volt detection means the RS2 can recognize and safely begin charging a battery that has dropped as far as 2 volts — well below the threshold where many chargers simply won't engage.
Note: Always confirm lithium battery compatibility with PRO Charging Systems (PCS) before use.
Waterproof and Ready for Whatever the Water Throws at It
Like every charger in the RealPRO line, the RS2 is fully waterproof and built for use in both fresh and salt water environments. Its rugged, vibration-resistant housing includes integrated mounting flanges so you can install it permanently on board without worrying about exposure. At 3.0 inches tall and just under 5 pounds, it's compact enough to tuck into most console or bilge areas without taking up valuable space.
Each bank comes with a 5-foot DC charge cable with ring terminals, giving you enough reach for a clean, secure connection to each battery. The included AC power cord is 3 feet.
Automatic, Certified, and Protected
Once plugged in, the RS2 runs entirely on its own. LED indicators display the charge status of each bank independently, so a quick glance tells you where both batteries stand. Reverse polarity protection prevents damage from an accidental backwards connection, and the charger meets all the safety certifications that matter for marine use — including ISO 8846 Marine standards, US Coast Guard ignition protection (33 CFR 183.410), and FCC Part 15 Class A and B compliance.
The RS2 is backed by a three-year manufacturer's warranty from PRO Charging Systems.
Tech Tip: Using A Multi-Bank Charger
Each bank of this charger is 6 amps. Combined, this is an output of 12 amps (2 banks of 6 amps each). This is commonly used in two ways:
- Connect each bank to separate battery systems, charging both by 6 amps each.
- Connect both amps to the same battery system, charging it by 12 amps total.
Frequently Asked Questions
What battery types is the RS2 compatible with?
The RS2 works with wet cell (flooded), AGM, and most lithium 12V batteries. No manual mode selection is needed between battery types. As always, confirm lithium compatibility with PRO Charging Systems (PCS) before connecting.
Can the RS2 charge a 24V trolling motor system?
Yes. When two 12V batteries are wired in series to create a 24V system, the RS2 charges each battery individually through its independent banks — keeping both batteries balanced and fully charged. Note that the RS2 works with individual 12V outputs only and is not compatible with a single 24V battery.
What if my two batteries are in different conditions — different ages or charge levels?
That's one of the key advantages of independent bank charging. Because each bank operates on its own microprocessor, the RS2 charges each battery according to its own specific needs. A battery that's nearly depleted and one that's mostly full can both be connected at the same time without either one affecting how the other is charged.
Is it safe to leave the RS2 plugged in between uses?
Yes. After each bank reaches a full charge, the RS2 automatically switches to float maintenance mode, keeping both batteries topped off without overcharging them. It's well-suited for long-term connection during storage or whenever the boat is sitting between outings.
How does the RS2 differ from the RS1 and RS3?
All three are part of the same RealPRO line and share the same core features — waterproof construction, automatic charging, float maintenance, and marine-grade certifications. The difference is the number of banks: the RS1 handles one 12V battery, the RS2 handles two (12V or 24V systems), and the RS3 handles three (12V, 24V, or 36V systems).
What's included with the RS2?
The RS2 comes with two 5-foot DC charge cables with ring terminals — one per bank — and a 3-foot AC power cord. Mounting flanges are integrated into the housing for permanent installation.
What warranty does the RS2 carry?
The RS2 is backed by a three-year manufacturer's warranty from PRO Charging Systems (PCS), covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of original retail purchase.

Customer Reviews
I have changed over to some lithium batteries I got from a friend. These are lifePO4 batteries. The charger will only charge them to 80% capacity due to charging at 13.28 volts, these style lithium’s need 14.6 volts to charge fully. That being said depending on HOW long you troll they will do a decent enough job. But if you’re looking for max run time on your trolling motor for long days of constant running you may want to purchase a dedicated lithium battery charger. For lead based batteries it works awesome! Hope this helps someone.
Very good charger. Makes charging so much easier than a single standard charger.
Excellent product - plug it in and forget it.
Installed this on a Bass boat and so far, we couldn't be happier with the charging of dual batteries. Mounted it on the inside lid of the battery compartment so it's not directly exposed to the elements. Very easy to install and no more dragging out two battery chargers to charge batteries.....just plug this in and you're set! The colored lights (red and green) show you its charging and when it's
I love the charging lights on mine, just a glance with the bright lights, and you know the condition of the batteries. Just a quick and easy install and your ready to play...
I purchased a 16 ft. bass boat just this fall and needed a dual bank charger for both batteries. After reading the great reviews on this unit, I purchased it along with some alligator clips as I didn't want to mount it permanently in the boat which apparently some people do, and it has worked out very nicely. I plugged the unit in at night and had double red lights indicating charging (low battery
This is a nice charger. Admittedly I have owned it about a month, but I'll say I am well pleased with it. Its easy to use and does a very good job. I could not have been more pleased. Just connected to the two batteries and forget about it.
