Note: This item ships with a protective tab where the required AAA battery (battery included) sits. Prior to use, this tab must be removed, else the battery will not power the tester.
This multi-purpose battery tester is for testing these Alkaline, NiMH, and NiCd batteries: AAA (LR3), AA (LR6), C (LR14), D (LR20), 9 Volt (E-block), CR123A, CR2, CR-V3, 2CR5, CR-P2, button cell batteries, or other batteries with the same voltage.
The battery status is displayed on an easy to read LCD Display.
This unit does not accurately test rechargeable batteries.
1x AAA battery required (Included).
We love the versatility with all the various options.
What I like best is that there's a distinct and firm connection for the battery's 2 terminals. With my prior battery tester, it always felt iffy whether it was making a good connection with the terminals and whether I was getting an accurate reading. I love the digital reading on this new battery tester.
This is a great product and I am glad that I bought it.
I tested several different battery sizes -- AAA, AA, C -- of varying charge strengths. The device appears to provide a reasonably accurate representation of battery strength. It does not give a voltage readout -- a cheap voltmeter can do this for you -- but for the purpose of doing a quick good-bad-poor condition check, you don't need to look elsewhere. Recommended.
I have had several battery testers but this is the best so far. Quick delivery too.
My favorite battery tester. It includes all the battery sizes I use. It has a graph to indicate the charge level of the battery.
The battery tester is both easy to use as well as being compact for ease of storage.
