Product Description
For 12 volt batteries including: Vehicles, ATVs, Fork Lifts, Boats, RVs, Trucks, or where dual batteries are used
The new state-of-the-art, fully automatic dual battery controller is suitable for any vehicle with an auxiliary battery. Smaller and lighter than other standard battery isolators, the Battery Doctor 150 Amp Battery Isolator employs electronic switching control technology. This high-performance electronic isolator allows you to charge two batteries from a single alternator, and keeps the starting battery isolated from the second battery. Also, with a single push of the override/reset button, you can change the batteries to parallel mode for jump starting.
- Much easier to install than other battery isolators. No changes to existing wiring required.
- Water resistant - suitable for marine use (IP62)
- Priority charging for starting battery
- Includes heavy duty connectors and mounting bracket
- Over current and surge protected for vehicles with electronic systems

Customer Reviews
Great battery isolator. I like the fact this one doesn’t require a hot wire run to switched power. Works as advertised.
Good
I like that this battery isolator does not need to be wired into an ignition switched circuit in order for it to operate. This simply connects to the batteries and gets grounded to the frame or chassis. It does draw a very very small amount of power when the vehicle is off, so if you leave your vehicle sitting for long periods of time, putting a switch on the ground wire will allow you to switch off the source to ground which will turn off the isolator and stop it from draining the start battery. The ability to manually connect the auxiliary battery to the starting battery by the simple push of a button for a self contained jump start is another awesome feature.
The only thing I don't like is how the battery terminals on the isolator are not covered. You have to come up with your own solution to prevent accidental contact with high current battery terminals once you install it. Oh and another thing, the included package and paperwork will not tell you this, but the battery terminal studs on the isolator are M8 studs so you need a 5/16" connector on the end of the cables. I contacted Battery Mart before purchasing and they told me it was a 1/4" stud but that did not seem right so I waited until I got it before I made up the cables.
Use it in my duel battery set up on my boat.
Works well and nice to see the light switch when Battery one is fully charged.
Only recommendation is that I would like to see 2 things.
1 A connection port so I can mount some LED's on the dash from the isolator . I like to know things are working with out having to open up the engine compartment.
2 A built in switch on the ground cable . I have to disconnect a battery cable , remove the ground from the isolator then reconnect the battery in order to use my shore side charging bank . It would be nice to just be able to flip a switch ( I do plan to splice in a switch and mount it on my dash )
use copper 4 to 0/1 Gauge cable to wire and get the big 3 also
A terminal broke off tightening the connector. Was told I could not get warranty through Battery Mart and had to go through the manufacturer. Was offered to purchase another, which I did from another company. Sent this to manufacturer for replacement and will attempt to return the new one back to Battery Mart.
We will see if my opinion of customer service changes when I request a refund, once I
this product has a dead battery switch to start the motor if main battery goes dead , this is a great thing to have when out in the woods
