Tech Tip: Easy Front Mount Installations
| This battery is supplied with unique terminal hardware (2 spacers and 2 bolts for cable to terminal connection). This hardware is required for proper installation on certain applications. Other hardware may damage terminals and should not be used. The spacers are required for front mount cable installation only! The USA made Big Crank battery was a perfect fit and is performing well (as expected). Buying was easy and quick delivery!
Battery works as expected, the only issue was the height was a little taller and had to change top mount to front mount for cables.
This battery replaced a name brand unit that had no shame whatsoever about where it stranded me on a couple of occasions (following full charges). I took the hint. I bought this battery for my 2004 Suzuki V-Strom 650 after attempting to use a cheap Chinese battery. There is a huge difference in quality between this USA made battery and the Chinese made one. This battery turns the engine over much faster and holds a charge much better.
In 2018 I purchased a used 2008 Suzuki V-Strom 650. The previous owner told me the battery in the bike was five years old. Five years later, I'm finally in need of a replacement battery.
I live in Oklahoma and the heat is very hard on batteries. I do keep my V-Strom in the garage and I use a trickle charger to maintain the battery. Still, 10 years is a long time for a battery to last.
I definitely recommend Big Crank batteries.
I bought my first Big Crank several years ago and just now needed to replace it. I didn't hesitate to install another one. Strong and dependable.
Is not just an easy bolt in application on a 2007 Suzuki 650 SV. The battery IS the perfect size, but either the battery posts or cable ends need to be modified in order to use it. I added a slot on the top of each battery post so the stock battery cable ends would sit down properly onto the battery posts. I want it kept stock so future battery replacements will be just a simple swap out.
That said, it is a nice strong battery that really cranks the motor over fast for easy start ups.
