The ODYSSEY Performance series batteries provide all the reliability of the ODYSSEY Extreme Series batteries but without the high cold cranking amps (CCA) or reserve capacity (RC) that many people may not require.

I look at ratings in a popular no-ads magazine where car batteries are their continuous testing program. This battery was top rated. Even with shipping, this price was very competitive. Manufacturing date on the battery was very recent. The only thing about the battery design--and it may be due to the size designation--is that my previous and original battery both had a center channel between the two posts--kind of a cut through what would be the caps on a non-maintenance-free battery--where my car's battery clamp/strap passes through. I was still able to get the strap on and close the battery compartment in my 2013 Volvo C70, so I am happy with my purchase.
All that said, I bought a new battery based on the dealer's recommendation when I had it in for service. Periodically the car doesn't turn over; it just kind of groans like there isn't enough juice. Replacing the battery did not completely resolve the problem. Time to check my cables and connections.

The specs on this battery are off, the newest specs are as follows, 850 CCA, 155 minutes reserve, I have 2 of these in my 5500 Ram dump truck with the 6.7 Cummings diesel, the factory batteries were 730 CCA, and 140 minutes, when the intake heater is used which draws a 210 amp load, doesn't even effect the batteries for cranking, the 120 amp cca and extra reserve makes a difference, their design life is 10-12 years, service life is 8-10, the best battery for hard service is the AGM Odyssey battery
I used this battery as a back up for my radio configuration at one of my remote site. Since I installed the battery, it has preformed perfectly. We lost power at the site and the battery covered the down time while we were in route with the generator to put the site back on power.
This battery is a direct replacement for the BMW OEM AGM battery. It is made in the USA and you won't find a better battery than the Odyssey.
One note, this 94R-850 is for the Coupe (850 CCA and 80Ah), but the longer 49-950 (950 CCA and 94Ah) battery for the convertible will fit as the mounting hole is there for that one too. Note the larger battery is 8 pounds heavier but is the same price. You can't go wrong with either battery.
Delivery is free if you select FedEx ground but it still got to me in New Jersey in two days.
The battery was delivered two days ahead of schedule. So far there have been no issues. The true test will come in the many years to follow.
Odyssey batteries are the best in the industry. Batterymart had the best pricing and delivery in the industry. I recommend!
