If you own an EarthX battery, this EarthX 5mm12 12V LED Fault Indicator Light is a mandatory accessory for system safety and peace of mind. This LED indicator connects directly to your battery's fault monitoring wire, instantly alerting you if the battery detects an issue.
Installation is Simple and Fast (Seriously)
EarthX designed this 12V LED accessory with simplicity in mind, so you don't need to be an A&P mechanic to install it. The light features a built-in 500 ohm resistor, which eliminates the need for separate components and ensures easy compatibility with standard 10-15V aircraft electrical systems.
Installation Overview:
- Drill a 0.325" or 5/16" hole in your panel and secure the amber LED light using the included nut and washer.
- Connect the Red wire to a positive bus connection (typically a fuse/breaker downstream of the master switch, 0.25-1 AMP recommended).
- Connect the Black wire directly to the corresponding black fault monitoring wire that comes out the side of your EarthX battery.
With 48" of 20ga wire, you have plenty of length to route the connections exactly where you need them. Detailed instructions are always provided in your EarthX battery manual.
