Using an array of microprocessor controlled sensors, BatteryMINDer Model 2012 actively monitors your battery's voltage, amperage acceptance, and temperature at all times. Working through a series of charging and diagnostics stages, the internal program adjusts its output several times a second based on sensor reading to quickly and correctly charge your battery. When used as a maintainer, the BatteryMINDer is guaranteed to maximize your battery's life and storage capacity. The temperature compensated long-term float (maintenance) stage can add years of service, and patented full-time pulse desulfation is designed to reverse and eliminate battery sulfation, the #1 cause of early battery failure.

Customer Reviews
this is my second one and am pleased with it first one is still going--strong
I'm only giving 4 stars as I just got the product and need to see how it works over time. Previously, I had a tiny "NanoPulser" ($100, Made in Japan) I bought in 2010, and had THAT on 3 previous vehicles as well as on my current one (Jeep), but it's supposed (?) to have a 10-year life-expectancy so since it's been used for 13 years now, not sure if it was still producing "full power" pulses (or any pulses). So just in case it was compromised -- given how HOT it is for an electrical device inside an engine bay, especially in Summer (!) -- I decided to put another one on. Sadly, the Japanese NanoPulser (apparently) is no longer made/available! So getting online and searching for another "on board" desulfator I found this BatteryMINDer one: Just what I was looking for as it's a brand name (others I found online were no-name/questionable) and I have used BatteryMINDer products before (chargers, desulfators) for my 2 Portable Emergency Power Stations (using 3 AGM 12v automotive batteries) and 1 Portable CB Radio Base Station (also using an AGM 12v automotive battery), which need to be kept fully-charged/ready to use at any time. THOSE 110v BatteryMINDer products have worked fine after all these years -- my batteries have stayed up and serviceable for WAY longer than they should under normal circumstances -- so guessing a desulfator is largely responsible for that I went with BatteryMINDer (again) for this on-board desulfating-only unit. Not sure I like it turning itself off and NOT desulfating 24/7 like the other BatteryMINDer 110v house units do: The NanoPulser (parasitic draw 24/7) did constant desulfating but turned itself off if the battery got too low -- never had any dead battery issues with it EVER. I would think this BatteryMINDer product would do the same, since when the battery just sits/discharges it's still sulfating and should be (IMO) desulfated at all times. So will have to see how this product works as I don't drive a whole lot but DO want my Jeep's battery desulfated properly. As said though, desulfating is done ONLY when I drive and I'm not sure that's enough time to completely desulfate the battery.
Whatever, time will tell on that, but for now it seems the best (only?) name-brand on-board desulfator for my Jeep as I DO want to have one installed...on my previous vehicles as mentioned, my current one (Jeep) and for any future vehicles. From what I can tell, desulfator technology in general DOES seem to work as advertised so I wouldn't be without one.

Very happy I purchased this charger. Lots of great features. Great price, very fast shipping.
Have been using BatteryMinder charger for over 10 years and I believe them to be the BEST. Reason No, 1 they do not over charge, No.2 Disulfate by Frequency ( Not by a Voltage Spike) The Voltage Spike Disulfatetors tell you to disconnect Battery before charging or damage to electronics may occur No. 3 their life expectancy is very long. No.4 I usually get 7 to 8 years life on my Vehicle Battery (could be longer but after 7 to 8 years I just replace the battery.
Purchased in anticipation of trickle charging my new vehicle through OBD2 port for three months while I’m away this winter. I used BatterMinder as I have used a similar BatteryMinder product for the past eight years on another vehicle and it has been excellent. I wanted to use the OBD2 port this time instead of alligator clamps on battery. I made approximately three telcalls to the technical person at BatteryMinder and he was very helpful in answering my questions and suggesting the appropriate unit and setup. Excellent help and advice. I am confident it will perform as described and that the technical service personnel will be a aivailable if needed.
unit is it is perfect for the use intended. just checking battery under load / resistance confirms its doing its job. plus 5 year warranty is a definite plus.
It works perfectly just what my car needed. since I don't drive enough my battery kept on going dead. I can send you a picture of my installation if you'd like me to
