After permanently attaching the ring connector to the battery posts that came with the battery tender 3V charger system I used the 6 foot extension cable to run a lead from the battery which is located against the firewall in my wife's 2007 Pontiac Solstice Convertable. The 6 foot extension cable was simple to run from the ring connector to the bottom of the front grill. It is secured to the car's electrical harnes with wire ties. I left a 2 inch length sticking out under the grill, also attached with a wire tie. This has a protective cap on the end so the lead end can be tucked back into the grill out of sight when the car is being driven.
This is easy to plug in or unplug for my wife. I have the battery tender 3V mender system lead poking out from under an old clothes dry vent coming out of the basement wall. A 12 foot extension cable is used to connect the charger to the car.
