The C70 Passport is a variant of Honda's Super Cub motorcycle. The Super Cub is one of the most produced motor vehicles in history, with production surpassing 87 million in 2014. This family of bikes has been in continuous manufacture since 1958. Difficult to classify, with some calling it a scooter and others a motorcycle, they have been proven to be quite a success for Honda.
The C70 Honda Passport scooter is a great hill climber with a top speed around 40 mph. In 1981, the bike was entered into a Fuel Economy Challenge with some high-mileage two wheelers built by engineering students. The challengers needed to complete a 65-mile course in approximately 100 minutes (~35 mph average needed). The C70 won the challenge with some great riding, completing the course with 198 miles per gallon fuel efficiency.
