What battery do I need for my ham radio?

Dakota Lithium batteries are drop-in replacements for SLA batteries. If your power system uses a SLA or any 12V battery, you can replace it and get the extra broadcast time providing by the LiFePO4 technology.

For most radio operators, we recommend the DLITH-12V10 10 amp hour (Ah) battery or a Dakota Lithium Powerbox 10 paired with a small solar panel to create a lightweight, off the grid solution.

If you're looking to power multiple devices or operate in disaster and emergency response situations, we recommend the Dakota Lithium Powerbox+ 60. This fully waterproof and submersible battery floats in salt and fresh water and, can power 12V DC devices or 110V AC devices like laptops, monitors, and TVs. It is versatile, allowing you to power your radio in your field. Plus, it can jump start a car, truck, or boat in an emergency.
