About the RBC6 Battery Pack:

The APC RBC6 Replacement Battery Cartridge is a complete, user-replaceable battery pack specifically engineered for compatible APC UPS models, often found in Smart-UPS SU1000 and similar series. Each RBC6 pack typically consists of two (2) 12V sealed lead-acid batteries connected in series to achieve a total nominal voltage of 24V. The capacity of these individual 12V batteries is commonly 12Ah, resulting in an overall cartridge capacity of 24V, 12Ah. These batteries are maintenance-free, leak-proof, and utilize Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology, designed for optimal performance and a reliable service life (typically 3-5 years under normal operating conditions). The individual batteries commonly use F2 terminals (0.250" wide tabs). The entire RBC6 cartridge comes pre-assembled with proprietary APC connectors for easy, plug-and-play installation. A significant feature of UPS models compatible with the RBC6 is their hot-swappable battery replacement capability, allowing you to install the new cartridge without having to power down your connected equipment, thus maintaining continuous operation.
