Product Description

One Meter. Every Measurement You Actually Need.

If you've been in the trades, worked on your own vehicles, or maintained your own home long enough, you know the frustration of grabbing a meter that can't do the job — or one that gives you jumpy, untrustworthy readings when it counts. The IP Power DM200 Digital Multimeter is built to eliminate that frustration. Eight measurement functions. A display you can actually read. Results you can trust.

See What You're Doing, Even When the Light Is Bad

The DM200's backlit LCD shows 3.5 digits at 0.6" tall — large enough to read without squinting, even when you're crouched in a basement, wedged under a dashboard, or working inside a dim electrical panel. The backlight means poor lighting is one less thing slowing you down on the job.

Stop Guessing. Start Knowing.

Faulty wiring, a bad fuse, a dead circuit — these are the kinds of problems that eat up time when you don't have the right tool. The DM200's audible continuity test beeps the moment it detects a complete circuit path, so you can keep your focus on the work and let the meter tell you what you need to know. No more staring at a display while your hands are occupied.

Automatic polarity detection means you don't have to stop and swap leads if you've connected them the wrong way — the meter reads negative automatically and displays the minus sign. It's a small thing that saves real time when you're moving fast.

Precision That Holds Up Under Real Conditions

The DM200 uses a double integral A/D conversion method — the same approach found in quality bench instruments. What that means practically is that the meter filters out electrical noise and gives you stable, settled readings rather than numbers that bounce all over the place. When you're testing live circuits or checking resistance on a component, you need a number you can act on. The DM200 delivers that.

With a 1999-count resolution, you're getting enough precision to catch small deviations that a lower-resolution meter might miss entirely.

Eight Functions. One Tool in Your Bag.

The DM200 handles DC and AC voltage, DC current, resistance, temperature, diode testing, transistor hFE, and continuity — the full spread of what most electrical, automotive, and HVAC diagnostic work actually demands. Instead of reaching for a second or third tool, you've got everything you need in one meter that fits in a tool bag or a kitchen drawer.

The temperature measurement function is especially useful for HVAC diagnostics, checking motor operating temps, or spotting hot spots in electrical equipment before they become a bigger problem. The transistor hFE function is there when you're working on electronics and need to verify a component is good before you spend time chasing a fault somewhere else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this to check if an outlet is live?

Yes. The DM200 measures AC voltage, so you can test outlets, switches, and household wiring to confirm whether a circuit is live before you work on it.

Will it tell me if a fuse is blown?

Absolutely — use the continuity test. Touch the leads to each end of the fuse and the meter will beep if it's good. No beep means the fuse is blown. It's one of the fastest ways to check fuses without pulling them out of a vehicle or panel.

I work on my own vehicles. Is this meter useful for automotive diagnostics?

Yes. The DM200 can check battery voltage, test sensors and circuits, measure current draw, check continuity in wiring, and even read temperature — all common needs in automotive troubleshooting.

What does the hFE function actually do? Do I need it?

hFE measures the gain of a bipolar transistor. If you do any electronics repair or hobby work, it lets you verify a transistor is good before assuming the problem is somewhere else. If you're purely doing electrical or automotive work, you probably won't use it often — but it's there when you need it.

What does "3.5 digits" mean?

It means the display can show up to 1999. The "half" digit on the left can only show a 0 or 1, which gives you more resolution than a plain 3-digit meter. In practice, it means more precise readings across the board.

Is this hard to learn to use?

No. The rotary dial lets you select your measurement function directly, and the automatic polarity detection handles the rest. If you've used any multimeter before, you'll be comfortable with the DM200 immediately.
