Tech Tip: Special Installations
Mounting flexibility is one of the Odyssey battery's strongest features. It may be installed in just about any orientation (the only exception being inverted) without sacrificing any of it's world-class performance attributes. This is a great battery I have used!!!!!
This is going to replace a 4 1/2 year old Odyssey in a 2007 BMW 1200RT, which is starting to crank a bit slow. Because I ride by myself in some out of the way places, I don't want to take a chance, and could probably get another 6 months out of the old Odyssey. But with the sale price and the free shipping, I just couldn't pass it up.
Just replaced my 8-year old Odyssey PC680 with a new one. Never expected to get 8 years of service from the prior one in an airplane that draws significant voltage to the starter on each engine start, and sometimes there will be 2-3 weeks between starts. Also, the size and weight of this battery are great for my aerobatic aircraft.
I bought this battery for my autocross car. I have been looking for ways to pull some weight off of the nose of my car when I discovered this battery. I had read good reviews before purchasing and was able to drop atleast 15lbs compared to the stock style battery.
