Product Description

A great companion for powersports applications, the Motobatt Little Boy charger reads the correct voltage for safe and proper charging. During the 9 phase process, the battery resistance is monitored hundreds of times per second while charging.

Qualification Stage. Checks if the battery is over 2V for safety, then transitions to Rescue Phase where five different recovery modes will revive sulfated or deeply discharged batteries.

Soft Start Phase. When the charger detects a low initial state of charge, the voltage and current are delivered at a specific rate to assist with battery recovery before the Pulse charging mode begins.

Pulse Phase. Provides a high frequency pulse charge to help the newly recovering battery to accept charge as it enters recondition mode.

Recondition Mode. Continues to work the battery at a slightly higher voltage and amperage to re-activate the battery plates for improved depth of charge.

Bulk Charge Phase. Begins giving constant current to the battery up to about 80% of its capacity.

Absorption Phase. Begins with constant voltage while current is reduced. This will get the battery as close to 100% as possible.

Check Phase. Monitors the battery's ability to hold the charge. If it doesn't, it will restart the process for 24 hours or more until the charger determines the battery can not be recovered.

Maintenance Phase. Charging is complete and the battery is maintained so it is ready for use.
