These batteries are popular in trolling motors, ensuring all-day boating and maneuverability. The Ionic LiFePO4 12V 50Ah battery go the distance! When the day is done and it's time to charge, it charges at a significantly faster rate. While it typically takes 10 to 20 hours to fully charge a lead-acid battery, this one only takes 1 to 3 hours.
With the Ionic Bluetooth App (available for Android and iOS), it's easy to track your battery's condition. This is one of the most advanced deep cycle batteries on the market. With long-lasting life of up to 5,000 cycles, it's common to see Ionic batteries last up to 10 whole calendar years. The Ionic 12V 50Ah battery is ideal for trolling motors, electric scooter systems, and many other deep-cycle applications. You can use it for energy storage, whether as a backup power source or off-grid applications.
It is equipped with an integrated microprocessor-controller Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS will monitor the battery's voltage, current, and internal temperatures; all functions integral to safe charging and use. Sit back and relax. The battery knows what it's doing!

One of the downsides to lead-acid batteries is it's usable capacity. Most lead acid batteries only use about 50-60% and will need charged frequently. LiFePO4 batteries, like the Ionic 12V 50Ah deep cycle battery, have nearly 99% efficiency. Less charging, longer lasting.
In addition, Ionic lithium batteries can perform well in a wider range of temperatures. They can discharge between –20°C to 60°C (–4°F to 140°F) and charge between temperatures 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). If the battery is too cold, the BMS will sense it.

Other important things to note:
- The maximum charge current for our 12V 50Ah battery is 14.6V, with a 10.5 discharge cut-off voltage.
- The max charge current is 50 amps and the max discharge is 50 amp /170 amps (3s).
- You can use solar chargers! (Not sure which charger is best? Check out this post.)
- You can use most standard lead-acid chargers without a "Desulfate" mode. (As long as the current levels do not exceed the lithium battery charge requirements).
- You can charge your 12V 50Ah battery with a standard lead-acid charger that achieves 14.4-14.6 volts.
- Battery chargers with a voltage under 13.6 volts will only charge the battery to 50% capacity or less.
