Cliplight XLR battery charger with 3 Pin XLR Connector for mobility scooters and wheelchairs
Fully Automatic two-stage 24 volt 5 amp battery charger, UL and CSA approved, Dual Mode (for gel/sealed and wet batteries). The Cliplight XLR battery charger is specially designed for Industrial and OEM applications such as Mobility aids, wheelchairs, scooters and electric bicycles among others.
Selectable charge mode: A switch permits the user to select the type of charge required for either Gel or Wet Lead-acid. These voltage settings are identified above in the output ratings.
Full 3 LED Display: Indicators display the battery's condition. As a battery reaches full charge, the yellow and green lights will flash alternately. This automatic cycling of the charger prevents overcharging, as the battery reaches its full capacity. Once fully charged the charger will continue to cycle with yellow and green lights flashing alternately, keeping the battery at its peak capacity.
- Red Light: Indicates the charger is properly connected to 120V supply.
- Yellow Light: Indicates correct polarity and combined with red light indicates charger is charging.
- Green Light: Indicates a full charge. Green and yellow will flash alternately when battery has reached a full charge (The yellow light will flash on about every 10 seconds)
Protection: The charger has electronic protection against reverse polarity and short circuits. The overload protection is provided by two fully automatic re-settable bimetallic circuit breakers. One protecting against excess current flow and the other from excess temperature rise.
Charging: The charger is capable of charging all commonly available Lead Acid batteries with ratings from 20 to +100 Ah. All functions are fully automatic and the charger constantly monitors the battery's condition. The charging sequence is determined by the condition of the battery and is fully interactive.
Battery Recovery: (deep discharge pick-up) The 24 volt 5 amp battery charger is capable of fully and properly recharging any battery discharged down to 10 Volts. Even a totally discharged battery will recover to 20 Volts in 10 to 60 minutes, when the load is removed.
No risk of shock: The Cliplight XLR battery charger case is made from advanced engineering plastic. Due to its double insulation, a grounding pin is not required and hence the input connector has only two pins (we have an international standards approval on this model).

I have owned several Cliptight XLR 24 volt 5 amp battery charges over many years and have found them to be very reliable. My usage is daily as I charge my power chairs at the end of each day overnight. This particular model charger is more than adequate as it generally recharges my chairs within 2.5 hours depending on the amount of usage in any given day. What eventually fails is the chargers ability to turn off and switch to trickle charge once the battery is fully charged. My experience has been the longevity o this model charger lasts about 5 years with my type of usage. All in all, this is a good product and I would certainly recommend it.
To charge a mobility scooter
Got the same charger. set screws on plug came lose and the wire pulled out. could not get repaired for less then the price of replacing.
I have been confined to a power wheelchairs for many years and have had the opportunity to use several makes and models of battery chargers. To me the XLR24 by Ciplight has been the best performer of them all. I have three of this model and they all work just great.
This is the best charger avaiable for the price, can't over charge, leave it connected to my mobility scooter all the time.
Lost the original charger to the electronic wheelchair of my mom's which I kept in storage since her death. Kept it for future family needs. So grateful to have found this. Priced reasonably and works great!
Needed to charge a 24 volt mobility cart for access and mobility to what I need to do.
Unit runs cool and recharges my scooter batteries quickly-The original equipment small unit ran very hot and this probably killed it
