Product Specifications for Cliplight 12 Volt 10 Amp Battery Charger for Flooded Batteries
|BM Part #:||12103|
For use on Flooded Batteries
This Cliplight 12 Volt 10 Amp two-stage battery charger is fully automatic and UL and CSA approved. This Cliplight battery charger is specially designed for Industrial and OEM applications such as Marine, Utility vehicles and Material Handling among others.
Full 3 LED Display: Indicators display the battery's condition. As a battery reaches full charge, the yellow and green lights will flash alternately. This automatic cycling of the charger prevents overcharging, as the battery reaches its full capacity. Once fully charged the charger will continue to cycle with yellow and green lights flashing alternately, keeping the battery at its peak capacity.
- Red Light: Indicates the charger is properly connected to 120V supply.
- Yellow Light: Indicates correct polarity and combined with red light indicates charger is charging.
- Green Light: Indicates a full charge. Green and yellow will flash alternately when battery has reached a full charge (The yellow light will flash on about every 10 seconds)
Protection: The Cliplight 12 volt 10 amp battery charger has electronic protection against reverse polarity and short circuits. The overload protection is provided by two fully automatic re-settable bimetallic circuit breakers. One protecting against excess current flow and the other from excess temperature rise.
Charging: The Cliplight battery charger is capable of charging all flooded lead acid batteries with ratings from 20 to 200 Ah. All functions are fully automatic and the charger constantly monitors the battery's condition. The charging sequence is determined by the condition of the battery and is fully interactive.
Battery Recovery: (deep discharge pick-up) The charger is capable of fully and properly recharging any batteries discharged down to 5 Volts. Even a totally discharged battery will recover to 10 Volts in 10 to 60 minutes, when the load is removed.
No risk of shock: Charger case is made from advanced engineering plastic. Due to its double insulation, a grounding pin is not required and hence the input connector has only two pins (we have an international standards approval on this model).
Abort Charge: If the charging process cannot be completed, charging will abort and power will be shut off.

For advanced users only: The processor board on the charger does contain a jumper that can be used to adjust the charging profile on the charger between Flooded, AGM, and Gel batteries. Recommended only for those comfortable with making these changes. Out of the box, this charger only will charge flooded batteries safely.
Charger works, I can't verify the 10amp output for sure, but it seems to be in the ballpark. However, for my particular use, I had to return it, it's so loud. You can't even be in the same room and think straight. It's just so loud.
have an older model with 2 amp or 10 amp selection. charges batteries great. The simple hookup prevents hooking the charger to the battery in reverse. The led lights beat an old analog meter on a charger. Works in all temperatures.
I've had this charger for a year, and it hasn't succeeded in charging my car battery. I recently connected a volt-meter to the clips while attached to the battery terminals with the yellow light showing the unit was charging, but all I read was the battery voltage (under 10 volts). I got the same reading on the battery by itself. The clips do NOT show a voltage when disconnected from the battery
Had battery charger that said charged but got to the lake and no turn. Charged with this product and found the battery was no good.
It charges and maintains my 4D motor home batteries
I have 3 vehicles that occasionally need charging. I also have a sailboat with a deep cell battery.
The battery charger that I had prior to this one looks almost exactly the same except it was made in Canada. It also has a switch to select between starter and marine batteries. There is no switch on the Mexican product. I do not think the lights are working right but hard to say as I do not stand t
Easy to use just plug in and clamp to battery and let it do the rest. Takes out the guess work with easy to read indicator lights. Charges battery fast and keeps them charged.
