This tester can not be used to test lithium batteries. This tester is intended to test alkaline batteries.
Test your alkaline AA, AAA, C, D, N-Size, 9 Volt, and button cell batteries
This battery tester puts a small load on the tested battery to correctly determine the condition of the battery. It tests many batteries, such as AA, AAA, C, D, and 9 volt batteries, and features an easy to read display. It's compact size allows you to store it nearly anywhere: Your tool box, the glove box in your vehicle, or even your pocket.
A handy small tool. A little tricky to hold the battery in place on the contacts, but once done a few, or several times, it becomes easier.
A very reasonable price.
We have several automatic feeders to feed our herd. When one of these fail it could be the motor, the timer, a bad switch a bad contact or just the batteries. Needless to say batteries are easiest and typically go first? There is no telling how many "Good" batteries that have been discarded due to the first process of elimination and not knowing for sure. This battery tester allows us to check them first and move on to the real problem. No doubt "these testers" I purchased will pay for themselves in time elimitating pre-mature discarding of good batteries.
I have found it difficult to find a simple small battery tester from any source. This little gadget works just fine and lets me know the condition of batteries I am using. The swing arm takes a little getting used to, but after I figured it out, it works just fine.
For such a simple little gadget it does a whale of a great job and takes all the guesswork out of those accumulations of is it or isnt it a good battery boxes..handy dandy..was gifted to me and I really needed one, Sis came thru and so do you, Battery Mart!! Thanx a million!!!! D
It is a little clumsy to use, holding battery and spring loaded clip to touch both ends of battery. Which is why I only gave 4 stars Vs 5.
For the money it's worth it.
easy to use tests both regular batters and rechargeable batters.also compact
