Stops leaking battery acid from destroying your car.
The Battery Mat is a super absorbent, high density battery pad made to collect battery acid.
How to Use Your Battery Mat
The battery mat has two sides, one with the proprietary woven felt and the other has a rubbery texture.
When installing your battery mat, you will place the rubbery side down, to help keep your battery mat in place and secure.
The battery itself is placed on the felt side, which is designed to trap and absorb any acid.
battery anti acid mat
I have place the battery mat where is belongs. It was easily fitted to the battery tray and the appearance is inconspicuous. It's too early to judge the effectiveness of the mat but I am confident it will perform as advertised.
Have a 1998 Monaco Executive 40 with a battery compartment which needed much attention. The flooded lead acid batteries had cause a lot of corrosion of the battery shelves and surrounding steel containment box over the years. I removed the the Group D8 starter battery and the 2 Group D8 chassis batteries and proceeded to wash everything down with baking soda paste to neutralize and residual battery acid. I then sanded of all loose paint/rust from the battery trays, rinsed them with water, and after drying, sprayed on 2 coats of rust conversion coating and 2 coats of black paint. Now, I was ready to replace the batteries, but first I used the Acid Neutralizing pads (2/battery) to protect my battery shelves. They fit perfectly without modification. The price of the acid mats were reasonable for the protection they provided. Hopefully, I won't have to do this again.
The pads aren't as thick as when I ordered them 3 years ago, but still a good price and still functional. Thank you.
Got 1 each for my 55 VW and 69 Jeep. Fit perfectly on both vehicles and hopefully will do its advertised job.
product seem to be a very high quality product and i am very satisfied so far and i also am relaxed that a thirty thousand dollar paint jobis protected
