I found a less expensive laptop battery on the internet, why?
Low price most often means cheap quality, poor service, and insufficient warranty. The internet is full of companies selling cheap quality products. Some of these products have insufficient safety circuits that will cause cell over charge resulting in possible fire or explosion risking damage to you and your equipment. They typically come with little or no customer support and if their products cause damage to you or your equipment, you may receive little or no compensation or warranty.

Do I need to charge my laptop battery when I receive it?
Yes, you do. New laptop batteries are shipped in a discharged condition. There are shipping regulations in place that require the batteries have a charge state of 30% or less. We recommend that you fully charge and discharge the new battery two to four times to allow it to reach its maximum rated capacity after you first install it.

Tips: To get maximum performance from the battery, fully optimize the laptops power management features prior to use. Power management is a trade off: better power conservation in exchange for lesser computer performance. The power management system conserves battery power by setting the processor to run at a slower speed, dimming the screen, spinning down the hard drive when it's not in use and causing the machine to go into sleep mode when inactive. The laptop user's guide will provide information relating to specific power management features.

If you don't plan on using the battery for a month or more, we recommend storing it in a clean, dry, cool place away from extreme heat or cold temperatures.

Lastly, keep your battery contacts clean with a cotton swab and alcohol. This helps maintain a good connection between the battery and the portable device.
